2D barcodes must be verified by analyzing the structure of the symbol and the reflectance of each of the modules. This is done in accordance with the ISO specification of each symbology and analysis of standard parameters according to ISO 15415.

An increasing number of regulated industries require barcode verification because verification helps confirm that a code being produced will be accepted anywhere, by any barcode reader.

Webscan barcode verifiers (also known as barcode graders or checkers) use high-quality optics, advanced algorithms, and simple software to reliably demonstrate compliance to industry-standard guidelines.

Diagnose and Fix Code Quality

Webscan barcode verifiers and software report on code quality parameters and validate data for conformance to the following guidelines:

  • ISO/IEC 15415
  • ISO/IEC 15416
  • AIM DPM (ISO/IEC TR 29158)

Our verifiers also comply with the following industry application standards:

  • UID (MIL-STD-130)
  • UDI (medical devices)
  • GS1 (retail packaging)
  • AS9132 (aerospace parts)
  • AIAG B-17 (automotive parts)
